Warpath

An indie film pitch I did based on a graphic novel currently being developed. I had to create several different villains. I found real animal head skeletons online (where they were cheaper) and used those as the headpieces. I used many real animal bones such as ostrich vertebrae, bison teeth, small animal vertebrae and even chicken bones for their necklaces and belts. These pieces had to be more intricate and plastic bones just didn’t have the same look. I used a lot of twine to make the accessories including a male corset and to keep bones in place and give them the rugged feel. I spray painted tree spikes black and hot glued felt onto the base to keep them porcupine/ intimidating looking. There wasn’t enough grey cotton for Hermes cloak so I bought two similar toned greys and made two cloaks. This added more dimension and looked great in the action sequences. I attached dark green feathers and black tree spikes to gauntlets I made to give the characters more texture. The scarier and hairier the better on this project!
